Life In A Day

I just spent the last hour and a half watching this movie. I wasn't expecting much even though I had heard about it so much. I thought it was going to be this "happy cheerpy life is fantastic" kind of video. But it is not. Is not all doom and gloom either. Is REALISTIC. And I loved it. I found myself crying for moments, laughing out-loud others, deciding to become a vegetarian and even having to look away at times. I felt love, I felt hate, I felt joy and a lot of times a deep anger... and that is life. This hour and a half will be the most well spent hour and a half you can spend in these frivolous and empty times we are living in.

...and again, just because you have the money for the good equipment it does not make you a photographer...

I think I may have forgotten to blog about this amazing experience.

I had the pleasure and honor to work with an amazing group of friends and photographers for a great cause: Celebrating 60 Years of the UNHCR. For this, all of us, the Irish Lightstalkers, shot refugees in Ireland.

This one was my photos of Alvaro and Memo. Two Chilean brothers who came to Dublin in the early 70s with their family escaping Pinochet's regime. 37 years later, they are still here and have a family of their own. It was such a pleasure to hear their stories and work with them.
